We had a chat with Leo Mancini who owns and runs Leo Mancini Hairdressers at Windsor Yards. Here is what Leo had to say to us:
I was looking to expand the business and wanted to move to a busier environment. I love Windsor, it was the first place I came to when arriving in England 20 years ago, so it made sense to locate here. I closed the shop in Ascot and came to Windsor Yards.
I like to be with people and to make them happy. I have been doing this job for 25 years and feel that I have been able to make a positive impact on people’s lives with my work.
Big bouncy looks are popular now, and I am always busy with hair extensions and colours. As I have clients from many different cultures, the colours always vary. For example, Europeans often opt for warm, copper colours; Asians tend to favour ash shades; and we’re seeing quite a bit of experimentation from the English with silver/light options.
I’ve seen pretty much everything in 25 years, there’s nothing really strange that stands out for me.
Instagram and TikTok. We do a lot of hair extensions for the young and mid-lifers.
Surviving the lockdowns! We have expanded a lot since coming to Windsor Yards. For example, we offer five different product brands now and are working on our own range of shampoo and conditioner.
A lot! We have the new brand that I mentioned, we are also testing our own hair extension range. On top of this, we’ve launched a charity – Las Marias – to help children. We’re hoping to open a type of nursery at weekends and have education and orphanage plans.
It’s a few more words, but Italian Girl; Magical Hands; Superstar.
To start by looking at my wonderful son. Then coming into the salon and having a coffee and chat with clients. People do seem to like hanging around before/after appointments.
I just like to make everybody happy.
