Embracing Community at Windsor Yards

Windsor Yards Shopping Centre is committed to embracing, supporting, and working with local charitable and social groups, to foster collaborative thinking and to promote community awareness whilst raising funds for good causes.

Since September 2021, over £41,500* has been raised for deserving local organisations through on-site collections, craft markets, promotions, initiatives such as The Big Help Out, and in-centre events.

For 2023, a fantastic £6,664.93* was added to the total, highlights including the ‘Big Help Out’ Community Showcase to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, which raised £1,411 and the Christmas in-centre event weekend which saw a fabulous £1,358.93 donated. A huge message of thanks goes to all who contributed, whether through giving money or their time.

Our partnerhip with Windsor St George Rotary Club puts us at the forefront of community matters in all things Windsor.  Previous beneficiaries have included Royal British Legion, Thames Valley Hospice, Battersea Dogs (Old Windsor branch) and many more...

The calendar continues to grow as do the local beneficiaries. Examples of those supported during 2023, excluding donations organised by Windsor St George Rotary Club and Craft Coop, include Windsor Street Angels, Windsor Repair Café, Windsor Foodshare, Windsor Christian Action, The Baby Bank, and Bow Wow Wags.

Plans are now coming together for 2024 with a view to extending the Windsor community groups we support. Details of upcoming events and initiatives will be available in the New Year via this page and on our social media pages.

*excludes funds raised for the duck race which has, since its inception in 2007, raised well over £60,000; also for the Poppy Appeal 2023.
